Troy, a movie directed by Wolfgang Petersen, is a story which describes about the war between Troy and Greek in Thirteenth Century. Man has waged wars for power, for treasure and for wealth. But the war waged in this movie is for love. Troy’s young prince, Paris (Orlando Bloom), and Helen (Diane Kruger), Queen of Sparta and mistress to Menelaus (Brendan Gleeson), fall in love with each other. This begins clash and becomes the cause for the war as Paris takes Helen to sail back to Troy with him. Menelaus with the help of his brother, Agamemnon who seeks for the power over the world, start to conquer Trojans. They start with laces of Greek warriors over thousands of ships towards Troy. More than everything Agamemnon is supported by Achilles (Brad Pitt), one of the brave and renowned warriors of Thirteenth century who is blessed by the Greek Gods. Agamemnon and his troop find it difficult to enter Troy as it was built along the sea shore with huge walls with archers under the leadership of brave prince Hector. This movie depicts the scene of battle field so well that it takes us to the 13th century. Will Paris defend his love? Will Hector protect his kingdom and save his country?
